Woodkirk Valley U15s travelled to Meltham to play against a team that has recently had a strength squad with players from thefolded Netherton joining them.
Both teams started well and Meltham looked to be the more physical team.
The back four of Woodkirk started slow with misjudgements and miskicks. (To be fair the pitch was in a poor state and the ball was bobbling all over).
After Woodkirk broke the deadlock they seem to settle and wasn’t long before they added a second.
HT Meltham 0-2 Woodkirk Valley
After a less than impressive first half the lads were told that they need to improve the closing down of the opposition and pass the ball quicker and use the width of the pitch.
Woodkirk dominated the second, with Scott Morton picking up a second half hat-trick.
FT Meltham 0 v 7 Woodkirk Valley
Overall a hard game today, Meltham were physical, the pitch small and bobbly.
