Scarbourgh trip: Places still available for the trip taking place on Sat 10th May. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Three Coaches already fully booked. Information avaialable with your Manager. We will let everyone know. Some families from the younger age groups have asked for extra seats but we are holding back on releasing them until every WVFC player has had the option to choose whether they are going or not. Trip details will be finalised, no later than the 10th April. Registered players go FREE, all others £2 per place.

16th Mar - U10s: Hurley nets a hat-trick in the local derby match against Tingley Athletic in a 6-1 win.

9th Mar - U12s Miss out on the final glory after a brave fight against Divsion 1 leaders Farsley Celtic in the Semi-Final. The Wolves were narrowly beaten 3-1 at the Leeds City Adel War Memorial Ground. Well done to the team and Managers.
9th Mar - U9s: Another good win against Rothwell Juniors in match 1, winning 2-1.
9th Mar - U6s: Win their first games in local derby against Tingley Athletic. All the games were played in an excellent atmosphere, well done to the players and the parents, you a credit to the Club!. |
24th Feb - Refereeing and Coaching successes for the U16s.WVFC are committed to the principals of Charter Standard and to provide qualified referees and coaches for all our players. To build on this success, WVFC also encourage eligable players to embark on FA refereeing and coaching courses at the earliest opportuinity to become the referees and coaches of the future. The Committee congratulate William Smith for passing the first level 9 refereeing course and Matthew Bleakley for passing the First for Sport Level 1 in Coaching Football. We would like to wish them every success in the future.

CHARTER STANDARD. Following more hard work by John Bleakley and the Committee, The West Riding County FA have informed us today that Woodkirk Valley Football Club have maintained the FA Charter standard mark for a further 3 years, until Dec 2009. The club now plans to aim for the next level of FA Charter standard, Charter Development. Much assistance will be needed over the next three years in able to achieve this goal.
