Annual Golf Day – 6th September 2015

Our Annual Golf Day is fast approaching and spaces are sure to be snapped up quickly.  This year’s course will be Dewsbury Golf Club to be played on Sunday 6th September. Inaugural Girls Gala a Huge Success

Saturday 4th July 2015 saw Woodkirk Valley FC host the clubs first Girls only gala.  With the nation inspired by England lionesses,19 teams in the U7s U9s and U11s pitched up for a great morning of football.  Teams from Sheffield, Wetherby, Batteyford, Carrcroft, Guiesley, Norristhorpe and Rothwell, played some fantastic football and entertained the crowd.       The weather improved through the day finishing in glorious sunshine. U11’s – 2015 WVFC Gala Winners!!

After sealing the League Championship in May, the next objective for the U11’s was to compete well at our Gala.  The players did not let themselves down and after a competitive final Woodkirk ran out 2-1 winners following a dramatic extra time finish from Captain Cowling. Soccer School have Fun at the Gala

We had a great turn out from our Soccer School on Sunday 14th and in spite of the weather the boys had a fantastic time. Tony, Ben, Harrison, Sam and Dan from our U11’s helped to make the day more enjoyable for the Soccer School players by managing them for their games and helping out with some coaching tips.  It’s great to see the older lads contribute in this way…


U11’s – Garforth League Champions

Congratulations to our U11’s (Garforth League) on winning their first League Title.  At last nights league presentation evening, Tuesday 2nd June, the players collected their individual awards and showed off their new ‘Champions 15′ hoodies – thank you to Paul at Colourstyle for processing the order so quickly.
