Saturday 13th October saw Woodkirk U16s play in the first round of the cup against Bradford City Girls.  Bradford who have had a good start to the season would be a stern test for the girls following on from the strong display against Worksop Town.  Unfortunately Bradford had a number of injuries from a squad of 15 with 2 girls picking up the sickness bug the night before the game. …

Woodkirk U15’s 3 -2 Garforth Rangers

After a poor first half display by Woodkirk’s standards, our U15’s played some quality football in the second period and deservedly beat Garforth Rangers in this GJFL match. Not a venue you would want to be travelling to in January!!. Queensbury were great hosts, well refereed and played in a great spirit. Woodkirk were too strong for a hard working Queensbury team.  The game…

3 Points for U15’s

On what turned out to be a sunny September morning, Woodkirk came away with the full three points that were on offer after completing a 1-5 win away to HSM Chargers.  The only disappointment came in 73rd minute when complacency allowed HSM to score a consolation goal.  It would have been nice for the lads to come away with a clean sheet, particularly as the defensive unit were so dominant….
